Australia Loves Cindy Crawford!

FEW things on earth can detract from the priceless view of Sydney Harbour, as seen from a penthouse suite of one of the city's most luxurious hotels.
However, when supermodel Cindy Crawford steps into the room, fully made-up for Sunday Magazine’s exclusive shoot and wearing a gold metallic dress and skyscraper heels, no one present is looking at the harbour twinkling serenely below or the famed bridge arching northwards.
It may come as no surprise, given that the woman I’m here to meet is one of the most feted models of her time, whose iconic image has graced more than 600 magazine covers, but to meet Cindy Crawford in person is to meet a true beauty – the woman is flawless.

Gail Elliot on Cindy C
Crawford’s closest friend, Sydney-based fellow model and fashion designer Gail Elliott, says her friend has mellowed since she married Gerber and had kids.
“I’ve known Cindy for 20 years,” she says, “and she’s so happy right now. It’s not like her life was exactly terrible before, but now she has the balance right between work and family.”
The pair met on the international modelling circuit, catching up backstage at fashion shows in London, New York and Milan.
“We hit it off because we’re quite similar in a way,” says Elliott.
“We weren’t huge party girls and, although we liked to have fun, it never got crazy. Both of us had ambitions outside of modelling and, as friends, we supported one another.
"Since my husband and I launched our label Little Joe, Cindy has been amazing. She’ll wear something I send her and the next thing you know we’ll receive 500 emails from women wanting to know where they can get Cindy’s dress or top. She’s a style icon and her support has been invaluable.”

"Nowadays, it’s much harder for the girls coming through to become ‘a supermodel’, because a lot of the magazine covers and big campaigns are done by actors or celebrities. In my opinion, Gisele Bündchen was the last real supermodel, in that everyone knows who she is.”

Wow I did not know that she even had one... very Odd!!! Cindy should be one of the leading SI models... so I think about Helena, bcos they had wonderful bodies... and these hips...

yes, in 1988 she did a full photoshot for Sports Illustrated photographed by Marc Hispard in Thailand but in the process Cindy had a little discussion with the editor (Julie Campbell) about an outfit so when Cindy opened the magazine she realized that in revenge only one picture had been published,
then she decided to pose nude for Playboy and make her own swimswuit calendars to capture male audience and it works, Cindy didn't need Sports Illustrated anymore.this is the only one published in the 1988 issue
years ago two pictures were released

and this one was published in the SI Knockout book
and finally this one was published this year, 2007
I guess they have a lot of pictures archived, I hope they release more in the future
recently she had an exclusive interview with a HongKong english magazine,talking about size 0 model.she said that she would never be a size 0 model
