Why Anna need three assistants? ¿They do something apart from show off?

I know it seems excessive to have three assistants but consider the following factors:
1. With Anna's growing fame it can't be easy to juggle her accelerated and high demand as a celebrity personality AND a magazine editor.
2. If the Devil Wears Prada is at all accurate, it might just take three people to decode her cryptic demands.
3. Hey, she's keeping America employed three times over. What can be so bad about that?
