has anyone tried them?
basically i want to know what they're like (ie do they stay in, do they look ok?)

So is there anyone out there who can elaborate how good clip-on extensions work? Do they look realistic? Are the points of attachment easily concealable? I'm considering purchasing them via this site http://www.instanthair.net/products/products.asp?catID=60. Any input would greatly be appreciated. :flower:

I would say generally no. I see girls with them and think they look horrible and very noticeable. I guess it depends on the quality they are though.

I custom make mine it's very easy all you need is thread, needle, toupee clips, and weft hair extentions for the beauty supply store

here's a website

http://beautyaddictmag.com/beautyschool/diy/diyextensions.html

also i use mine everyday, and they never show, it's best for you to use human hair it matches your natural hair better also you can color it. i'm not allowed to color my hair, so instead i used the hair extentions for highlights, or to have differnt tones like brown-red in my hair. here are some different pics with me with long hair, and the short, the short one is the same length as my hair, but i added volume with the extentions. (i crossed out my face because their are some people like to steal pics and put them on the webpage.....not cool)
You can get toupee clips for $.50 each at http://hairpiece.com/

you should also check out forums (http://hairextensions101.com/forum/ and http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/) about the hair extention wefts you want to get theirs 2 kinds regular machine weft, and hand weft the hand weft is smaller and has less shedding hope this helped

I used a very small amount of clip-ons to add thickness, not length - and they looked realistic.

the clip-on hair extensions can be bought from this shop opposite where i work and i watch them be put in alot. they seem quite easy to get in if there are two people, but when you get home and take them out then want to put them back in again its real hard. also they are all the same length so everyone goes away the same but they do come in a variety of colors which is good. they can be straightened the hell out of but they feel horrid. i wouldnt have them done personally. they look good from a distance but not so hot close up! i wouldnt recommend them but thats just me! Give me real ones anyday!

i bought some hair and some clips today at sally's i;m going to try and make my own, il;l let you know. seems easy enough

I have clip ons mede of human hair. they are the same colour as my hair and I suppose they look natural. all my friends thought they were real...

I had long hair (nearly waist length) up until a month ago when I had it cut to shoulder length and now I want it long again! So I was thinking of getting human hair clip in extensions but I don't know where to buy them from in the UK apart from the internet aaand I'm abit worried about getting a good colour match as my hair has so many shades in it.

IMO all clip in extensions look shoddy. Even if they are human hair and a perfect match to your colour, they tend to slip out of place an then the clips show through the hair. If you are getting hair extensions, i personally would recommend sewing them in. This is quite expensive and they tangle really easy and molt.

Personally I don't like altogether and would never get them:unsure:

Clip-on hair extensions are great!! I found out about them just resently, when one of my colegues told me she had them in...and I was - 'where can I get them??' - straight away, next day i when and bought pack of full head set. When I did put my extensions in I couldn't believe myself how natural they look, and the colour mach so well...
...believe me nobody will know that you have bunch of hair cliped on...:)

i completely forgot my pictures were up here, well let me do an update.

I have naturally tight curly hair, and it's relaxed. So far the clip ins helped my hair to grow thicker and longer and decreased my breakage because i don't curl my real hair as much anymore. my hairdresses and i have not seen any loss of hair because of the clip ins. and i wear them every day!!! so i give them a torres approval..lol

This is what I do as well, never to add length, just volume. The hair is real and is colored to match my own color. Nobody has ever asked if they were extensions, but I do receive compliments on my hair in general when I wear them. I love them!! :flower:

A member of the forums.vogue.com.au site (on the hair board) has posted pics of the clip on extensions she just bought in the US. I think they are branded 'Jessica Simpson' (or maybe im wrong) but at any rate you should really check out her pics cause she looks amazing!

The New Extensions

So my friends in class get these new extensions that are the tiny metal pieces in your hair. it looks so natural and is so beautiful and seems less painful. Has anyone done this? share please. I think I might get it done soon
