The last time I went there they only had mens accessories. But CdG likes to shake things up regularly.

i see, these are not arrivals of the new a/w collection, but the shirt collection s/s 2011 and probably in the cdg showroom.

Thanks again, RUNNER....the short-pants with the side buckles are fun. The sizes of the jackets seem be be smaller and less bulky than on the runway. GREAT collection for Fall/Winter!!!

/\ possibly they are just wearing it in a size ss. since what season do they actually do the menswear in ss?

some of the jackets from 10 s/s in different versions than shown on the runway:

Hello USER500....my boss from a previos job (he owns a boutique and he's the buyer for his own store) told me that size SS from Comme is only available to the Japanese market.

I'm not sure what year size SS was started or manufactured.

As with current fashion.....silouettes are now much slimmer, lean, and small. But, back during the 1980's, proportions and sizes were much bigger and deliberately exagerrated. Back then, wearing baggy clothes was more in style, especially very large shoulders. Older collection.....dating from around 1980-1990 from Comme, tend to fit quite big, even in a size small.

thanks. i loved the 80's and 90's play on wide proportions and on the other hand, rei's collections at the time had also the very tight fitting designs, e.g sweaters or jackets...

my question for the sizing and ss size... it's necessary to know, if you buy vintage cdg via the internet, also on ebay the japanese sizes are all around. Now i remember the f/w 07 had still the old sizing( i once bought a jacket of this collection from japan and it fitted the familiar way). So, i suppose it was 08 s/s or 08 f/w when the new sizing was introduced.

The Ted isn't the most original fashion influence perhaps, but there was a new appeal in the oversized proportions of broad-shouldered jackets that dropped to mid-thigh, and voluminous pleated trousers (if only because the shrunken silhouette's dominance has become so numbing). Drapes came single- and double-breasted, in pinstripes, panne velvet, or sparkling like a bandleader's. Some were decorated with strips of fabric that also traced the leg of the accompanying trousers.

And the general shape of the collection—a modernized, sleeker version of the Teddy Boy silhouettes Kawakubo showed for fall—offered a hint of danger. Very welcome it was, too.
