no problem... and i agree... i wish there was some sort of resource on the internet that had lots of pictures of complete shows (a la firstview.com) from fashion shows from about, the 1970s (at the least) to the present.

even if it were a pay-only website... it would be worth it, and i know i'd pay.

thanks anna, brian

those fabrics were really unsteady. one might need to be brave and prepared to go under in those days when the stuff went into production on that large-scale.

mens look from that collection

The model is Cordula Reyer, I think.

It's amazing how contemporary and fresh this collection feels, even a decade later.

that's the girl in the bottom right of post #2...
we were trying to figure out the bottom left of post #1...

;)...
i still can't remember....

The S/S 95 picture is gorgeous! I've recently seen a lot of things that remind me of that, for some reason. Thank you, brian!

OH, wow, and the S/S 1989 photograph--amazing!!
Anna, thanks for the scans, too. I like the physicality of the material, love all of the pieces in your third post.

another look on Fred Ward

i changed the thread title since everyone has sstarted posting images from other 'hard to find' collections...
if anyone else can think of a more appropriate title-i'm open...
thanks for all the pictures guys...

rei's shrunken woolens inspired me to cut up a tweed blazer and toss it in the washing machine...^_^...i still think it needs something...but i'm not sure what...*add that to the pile of projects*

hmm...i think you are right runner...being inovative means taking risks and you must be brave to do that...it's not easy...
no wonder so many other designers admire rei's work...

I agree about taking risks. That's when I get really excited about a designer--not when they are repeating the same signs of what is accepted to be good, already known, but when they have enough vision to see outside of the prescribed way of doing things. There is a difference between visionaries and people who are good at re-hashing (and slightly improving).

Thanks for posting, I love most of the pictures posted!
