Commercialising... Chalayan

Cool pictures,Runner. Pretty sublime and modest looking,no?

In re-reading that article, even though it might sound a bit pretentious,I like his idea of clothing as sort of heirlooms passing through time. Archeaology makes me think of how things sort of progress with imperfection;ultimately having different lives to them.

the stuff is really very nice! Much nicer than his latest collection IMO.

I believe Aloha Rag is going to have this line this spring.

maybe it's a lofty idea...but i think it's a nice one...i think it's more idealistic than pretentious...but maybe that just because i'd like to believe that there are still idealists working in fashion...

I agree. When I first heard about I was fairly...unimpressed. But you have to take in to account that it is a noble aspiration. And I appreciate it, even if success doesn't seem likely.

Thank you for the pictures, runner. I was thinking about this post last week, wondering when we were going to see this stuff.

This doesn't impress me very much though.

This garment can be considered as a piece of future archaeology, a container of subjectively edited information contemporary to its making. You are invited to leave a trace of your ownership by signing the brand label.
