Cory Kennedy

when she is older there are going to be like 800 million photos to show her children..

it must be weird explaining how your mom was like this internet celebrity..

^ If we don't resort to caveman times and have no internet at all in the future ;)

As for Cory's style- I am strangely attracted to her look. There is something different about it, even though the Olsens have been dressing like this for years.

now i think the olsens are copying cory.... because cory always dressed darker and grungier than them.... like wearing plaid and black and white and lots of stripes..... and now mk is totally on her style, i think.....

i agree. the olsens wear trends long after their friends who are scene-ish and they get praised for how unique they are. when mary kate wore a ninja scarve a couple months ago magazines gave her so much credit, when in reality cory and everyone else have been wearing those for a couple of years.

I find that in those video interviews of her, she hasn't really got anything influential or intellectual to say. This would be expected by how she seemingly bragged in whatever magazine article I read that she was being in a doc as a person that influences youth culture through ambition?? I don't know, interesting looks, but hey, how many interesting looks are there out there? What I realize from living in a large city now is that every girl wants her picture taken or to involved with something happening, and push thereselves out there for those purposes. It doesn't happen otherwise. Cory worked for it. In my personal opinion, its much cooler to no push yourself onto the public for those reasons, and be comfortable, just, I don't know, doing your thing minus needing the coverage.

With the Olsens, and with Corey too, I think they all just love clothes and dressing up, trying different emsembles, just like all of us on this forum (Or we wouldn't be on a fashion forum aha.)

^^^^^read this months paper magazine and then try saying she isnt intellectual..... she totally shocked me when i ready about what she had to say

Come on !!!!!!!
Since when do we need to be gratuaded from Yell to be a trendsetter or a fashion icon ????
Does Kate Moss,Sienna,Ashley or Mary Kate are intellectuals ????
I don't think so :innocent:

So please............she's a young girl, don't ask her to have amazing and intelligent thing to say.She just enjoying her life.

I have been a fan but in some of these pics she just looks like a little girl playing dress up (and not neccessarily in a good way). Suddenly she looks startling young to me... A culture that takes the idolisation of youth to these kinds of extremes is a bit disconcerting.

Yell? Seriously..?
I said that in response to Karma Police post, where she said that Cory hasn't anything influential or intellectual to say.
What's the problem ????

Edit:It's Yale,I know sorry !!!!!!!

Lol ^ i figured thats what you meant. Kudos to your post.

The reason why I expected her to be intellectual and influential in conversation topics...she is going to be in a doc about how she effects youth culture globally through being this ambitious persona?? My post already said that. If that is your claim to fame, along with being/becoming an artist...there's gotta be a little bit more substance beyond dressing well and getting in the right locations for photo ops.

^ probably because they have money

I had a friend who graduated in their class and she said they got good grades. Not to mention they have impressive resumes. I can't believe I'm defending them but yeah their not that stupid.

karmapolice and others don't you think you're getting a little worked up here about her intellectualism, etc? :innocent: Isn't this thread about her style. Also, about her "working hard" to get to where she is.. seriously it's just partying at clubs and a few interviews here and there not exactly manual labor and hitting the books at the lib all hours of the night. Lighten up peeps :p Cheers !

haha i normally love cory, but i get exactly what you are saying. its really true. her personal style is great esp for a 16 year old, but now shes trying to pull it off like shes such an intellect, and her blog is a great example of this. She name drops and has extreme ADD, and then one day after having a conversation with Sean Lennon about different philosophies and politics she talked about how much she hated people who went clubbing just to get their picture taken. Not to mention the fact that she said her ambition is molding youth culture. i love cory's pictures and style, but she needs to stop talking like a scholar- in -the -making haha.
