Yeah not really shr if he is best for Givenchy, and I'm sad he is giving up his own label , but i'm shr it will be good and it will get him well deserved fame.

 Woah...I realy did miss something I guess...Ricardo Tisci, curious about that. Realy sad to hear that he is dropping his own label..I loved fw 05!

i'am looking forward to seeing valentino's haute couture f/w 2005 collection

This is first time since I started watching fashion shows closely that I won't be looking forward to Christian Dior and will be eagerly anticipating Givenchy, imagine that.

i also cannot wait until july for the couture shows, i´m a little afraid though of tisci`s work for givenchy, givenchy have had so many designers that it doesn´t have much of a signature look or whatever for him to work with, except for audrey hepburn that was re worked by mc donald hundreds of times, i wish his work will be closer to mc queen´s work for the house, personally my favourite.
the shows that i´m less excited about are armani, (to me he just want`s the extra attention couturiers have) and elie saab, who`s high octane glamour is not nearly as entertaining as versace´s...

on the other hand i´m sure they will be a lot of beautiful creations to watch.

Speaking of MacDonald's work for Givenchy, did anybody see that segment of FashionFile (I think) a while back where those 2 ladies got up & actually left his couture show in disgust? I think it was Isabella Blow (judging by the Treacy-like hat on her head), and when the reporter tried to get a quick quote from them, they were both just like, "Uh, this is horrible--we cant possibly be bothered right now!" Haha, I thought that was quite funny...

But back to the topic at hand...

The only show Im really looking forward to is the Gaultier show. His couture shows never fail to bore me, even though I dont always like the designs, if that makes any sense. Can't wait!

I dont know. To me, couture has came down to only one show-Chanel. Its almost another dimension. Givenchy also has me drooling, its very, very exciting.

Chanel couture is amazing imo:heart:. I am also eagerly waiting to see what Givenchy has in store for us.

something weird happens to me when it comes to gaultier too, because, for example, when it comes to dior i expect to see the wildest, most embroidered, most extravagant or wathever but at gaultier, who also makes those things, i always adores the simplest tailleurs or i don´t know, what could be very boring from other designers is like a dream come true on jean paul´s hands, my favourite number from his last couture was caroline winberg´s one.

Happy to see another soul converted back from the Dark Side, Lena? :P
I sure as hell will stay there, though B)

i cant believe i'm not looking forwards to dior infact not looking forwards to haute couture at all i wish galliano would go back to couture like the f/w 97 collection which is the best show i have seen ever - ever

Yohji Yamamoto used to show at the tail-end of the couture week.

And Hanae Mori retired; pity.

today i saw and touched anne valerie`s looks from her haute couture collection, and i don`t like them, those fabrics and knitts aren`t good as they supossed to be, and the shoes looks so old, i know the diference between vintage and old, and they are old.
