I have a few that I wear with high waisted shorts/pants/skirts - I love that they are so comfortable! But you know... I confess, every time I say cropped top... an image of Britney Spears circa 2000 comes to mind.

cropped tops can look good with high waisted chinos, or high waisted jeans shorts (so you see like (at the most!) 1 cm of skin between the pants and the top).

I very much agree with poptheglock and everyone else who said that they should be worn with high waisted bottoms, be it shorts, skirt, or pants. They can also be worn over body-con dresses! Anything else even if you DO have abs looks really trashy to me, No no no. That is, of course, unless you're at the beach where it's ok to just show everything!

Anyways, I do love them! Perfect for showcasing a slender waist when you're a shorty like me and need the illusion of longer legs!

I love tshirt type loose cropped tops, in cotton or silk, i think when they are big, a bit off the shoulder, can look great with maxi skirts, high waisted pants and loungey type wide pants...i dont like it when they are too cropped..just a little skin is enough, and it must be loose..and not with any low waist anything..

with crop tops at the moment I think its all about the mid-drift high waisted stuff with crop tops showing only the bit of skin above belly button. If your showing belly button its too much!

I agree, I've tried them in several styles and I think the most stylish and comfy way to wear them is with something high waisted and just a tad of skin showing.
