so, how did you preserve the original seams? They look GREAT!!!

i must be mad then!

to preserve the seams basicall there is alot of unstiching to be done:angry: i must admit i hate unpicking seams but it was worth it. since the jeans were already the right width at the top i unpicked up to the knee then repositioned the seam where i wanted it on top of the other side of denim. then pined it and sewed down the two seams that can be seen in a similar colour thread.(you can see this in one of the pictures if you look really careful!) but to sew this down i had to unpick the other side to get to it as in the construction of jeans this seam is done first because it isnt a reversible standard seam. but i didnt mind since i was taking it in from the other side aswell. if not just sew the seam you unpicked to sew the other seam back down as it was and ta da skinny jeans!

god i hope that makes sense! :flower:

^^^ dont go too over board!;)

i've lost alot of jeans due to the fact that i was inspired:lol: (i am desperatly running low on them!)

I learned that lesson oh so well when i desided to cut up my two pairs of dkny jeans sob they are now in the bin  :(

Yuck............. I should have read this thread earlier or perhaps ask for more advice. I just ruined a pair of black jeans that initially costed me 110$ . I asked my mom an hour ago to make them skinny, and I tried them on once after she did them and thought oh they're not skinny enough (and they ACTUALLY WERE RIGHT) and ASKED HER TO MAKE THEM SKINNIER. And now they are skinny to the point they look like leggings from the knee to the feet......

thank you so much guys on all the positive comments it just makes me want to make and customise more things:flower:

and yes tiamaria i hate learing the hard way too! i have also lost alot of pairs of black trousers and cargo pants in a similar way! i think i got too addicted i am restraing myself now though:blush:

aww kim i hate it when that happens! :D a smile to cheer you up!:flower:
