so we got these hideous oversized orange shirts for frosh week (technically I'm a NEWT-don't ask) and we can customize them and I'm trying to think of ways to do it but coming up empty handed. I don't want to do the slashed neck 80's style or let's cut up the sides and tie them all together again look.....but I can't think of what would work. Any ideas?

Can you sew at all? I make tunic length tube tops out of XL tshirts that are very cool.
What's frosh week?

I don't have a sewing machine! Very sad. Frosh week is for all the new students at the university (mainly first years) but i'm in the older group. I was thinking about using sandpaper to distress the hems on the sleeve but thats about all....

I ended up unfurling the hem, and distressing the sleeve's a little bit and I'm just going to belt it tomorrow and cut a large slit down the middle (wear something underneath) and then pin it with a brooch

slit in the middle is good...i was going to suggest that but i thought it might be too basic and you might be looking for something more avant garde...but i like it simple and chic...
have fun...

Print onto it... can you write or draw things? I get photo copies of pics, spray them with turps and put it threw a press onto the top... looks really effective.

Just leave it be. :ninja:
You'll definately stand out, most people run around with their shirts slashed up to their navels during frosh week. I hated it so, so much.

haha i know. like i said before the favorite thing to do here is to cut the sides and then retie them. I'm like ummm whatever. the just fold a bit of the slitted pair over and then like I said pin it with a brooch.

Soggy hotdog buns, strangers screaming obscenities and the desire to die in a nice, quiet, dark corner...
 Actually, it's an introductory week for new university students. Everyone that I've ever spoken thought that it was wonderful.

I probably would have had more fun if I'd been drinking.
