^ Oh absolutely, I'm not saying that Playboy is up to the caliber of VP, just that the simple fact that it's Vogue who publishes a provocative image doesn't immediately mean it's classy or sophisticated. Terry Richardson, anyone? Though I will say that "celebrating" the female form and "selling" the female form to consumers are very, very different things. While Vogue isn't p*rn it does have its own negative effects on women via self-esteem and body issues, even if it doesn't reduce them to sex objects, it does reduce them to clothing racks and mannequins quite often and those are just as inanimate.
