Do most models have a good angle that they like to be photographed? I've noticed that most of Daria's pictures are of the left side of her face or straight on. you very rarely see her photographed (without make up) on her right side. I know this sounds a little off the wall and is probably a "Who cares?" question but it has been bugging me and since I'm bored...i thought I'd ask.

my explanations is that most covers have their title on the left side, if you look the must turn a bit to leave space for that... or if it is head on then there's usually a hand where they can put the title on, without interfereing with the face.

Perhaps it's because that side of her looks better naturally and more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, thus during whatever selection processes there are it's usually preferred to filter out photos of the other half of her face? Not sure...;

Yup, any model can tell you in a second how to shoot them and, if no one poses them (like for a snapshot) they'll automatically go to their "good" side, head up or down, ect.... Just part of the game and they don't even realize it after a while!
(Happy to say I've picked this up from models I've known...
I even do it myself now, not that too many people ask from my picture these days...D

^ i dunno i think she's been sporting blonde sicne her Moscow visit or about there. I perosnally, don't hink any model should dye her hair blonde unless she's Dewi Driegen.

Blonde is not Daria's color. She was very striking and attractive as a brunette.

Thank you for posting that GQ article with her. She was so funny and intelligent and witty. I wish I could meet her.

I just read SPUR (i live in Tokyo) but it seems that daria didn`t actually dye her hair blonde or anything!!
there was a little interview inside where she was in her own clothes,
(probably the day of the shoot) and she was still the same brunette girl as we know!!!!
im soooo glad... just thought ill tell u guys

i didn't know her. i get this information from my teachers. particularly my photography teacher...daria was on the basketabll and volleyball teams, and her sailing (or something) club is a few minutes away from my house.

it had the lancome interview (the one she was asked what beauty was to her) which isn`t really new to us (lol)
o yea but what WAS new to me was that daria is probably coming back next season she said in the interview that she enjoyed a long vacation traveling with friends and stuff and she recharged herself!!
so i hope the "re-charged" part means shes COMIN BACK!!!
other than that, she said that her dream is to make a place to help young girls achieve their dreams and that she is satisfied with her job as a model so shes ready to quit the job anytime cry: )

i was in a hurry today so i`ll check it again tomorrow!!

PS she was described as "the most kind, friendly person in the industry"
i love when people talk about her like that
makes me love her even more!!

I just browsed SPUR in a bookshop. She seems to have taken her vacation in St. Barths and Ireland

I´d miss her a lot, but still, it must be nice to quit when you´ve had the kind of flawless career she´s had and still is on top of..
