Daria Werbowy

so many things to say...

first, i'm happy to see such a reception to her new editorial. i like it that you guys like her edgier-tougher side cos i have the feeling she likes doing these things more than others, that better matches her personality imo. of course, lancome and flawless works pay more, so i think i/we have to stand that stuff in order to get this other arty side.
second, of course she's versatile and you can see how talented she is as a model doing so different things. i'm pushing this duality also to create some debate, cos i find it quite 'humiliating' for daria - and serious models in general - to limit ourselves to say 'she's hot/beautiful/flawless' and stuff like that. i remember in her latest interview she spoke about her 'battles against models stereotypes'. it may sound a bit naive, but i think i understand what she means. she wants some recognition for the 'mental' side of modeling, so i think debating on her work helps such 'battles'.

what else?
oh yes... i would LOVE to see the backstage special on this editorial. any hope to see it on line? i know you have the videodar, guys... :)

Eword, you're not a true Daria fan...nawwwwww.;) No, seriously, I'd almost think you are Daria because you've captured Daria's personality so well in your post. I agree (from every interview I've read with Daria -- the edgier-tougher stuff does seem to suit Daria and she seems to be much more comfortable in more non-glamourous roles. A good model knows it's not about just doing shooting a photo -- it's about immersing oneself in a role; knowing your body, face, it's muscle reactions and, of course, how lighting can affect/change a shot entirely.

believe me, i much prefer not being daria... so i can hope i'll meet her and i'll seduct her with my incredible personality. modestly. ;)
(kidding... or not?!?! hahaha!)

OK, time to spread some good cheer.;)

Frowned on it already ;)
In all seriousness though, its just a easy to copy and paste the post number rather than quoting a picture.
The mod's are only thinking of people on slower connections :flower:
