Daria Werbowy

For me the Love ed is a bit too much. Yes, Daria has a great body but did she have to show it that much? Especially the third photo.

The third photo is hardly explicit. As Eword described so well it's "an old style frontal". It's not vulgar like Dree Hemingway in Purple or as revealing as Lara Stone or Angela Lindvall in the same magazine to mention nothing of the photos Missy Rayder did for Steven Klein.

To me it's a wonderful abstract photograph that accentuates the curves Daria has. Given the recent trend in magazines like Purple and Self Service it is hardly explicit even though a model having pubic hair is a rarity!

yet, the 3rd and the 4th pics are the strongest and the more emotional... and it seems to me that in this case m&m got to do something superior to their average works.
i wouldn't have expected either she would do something like that, but i am much more at easy with these pics than with the 'other' 'in love', the 2008 editorial by i&v for vogue hommes. that was a weak editorial, this one is strong, you see a chemistry between model and photographers. there is beauty, but her nudity is also very human, very concrete, very womanly...
she had courage to do that, but you also see a more confident woman, like there is a certain awareness and maturity in her body. something very different, for example, from those lil girls in the latest pirelli calendar...

so   daria, you are definitely the best model of your generation.

Eword I'm hoping you will provide us with a detailed analysis of the shoot.

I too love the 3rd and 4th photos because they are abstract and yet convey the message of a powerful woman as opposed to bare boobs and bush.

Daria's photos are truly Newtonesque and I can visualise how wonderful "Big Nudes" of her would be had Newton being around to shoot them.

Yes eword,i want a ten page essay on that editorial:judge:

What can i say?I haven't still completely recovered from the shock,but i'll say...:wub::blush::wub:

the 3rd photo is brilliant. it has been a while since i last saw such a strong and sensual pose in a nude pic.
daria was very nice to participate in this.

It's an interesting example you make-I love this editorial for Daria's obvious confidence in her extremely feminine body. I found the V&I shots of Dree beautiful and vunerable because her youth is so touching. A very different aspect-There is no vunerability here.
Perhaps the fact that Daria is not so "groomed" (read-pubic hair) acts to preserve some modesty, which was not the case in the ed's you mentioned.

^ so you have seen it in stores? is it something new or a reprint do you know?

Just found what is inside:

Still not sure about the cover but it does say coverstar under the title of article..

Thanks Megan! Here's a teeny tiny picture of the cover. Its a reprint from her Spur March 2006 cover. I have no idea why they would reprint something four years old ... but nevertheless its a cover.

^Agree, but I can't have that magazine in Canada, and I really like this pix.

Maybe they're being cheapskates? I think it's very poor form to recycle covers. And it's not like Glamour is this little indie mag either...

yes it is true that magazines always "recycle" old pics, I was just wondering why they chose that specific picture

Yes I do, its just weird how they chose a picture from 4 years ago in my opinion

^You have a point. But Daria hasn't changed that much since then.
