Karl gave daria her greatest campaign success to date with the beautiful chanel ads, imo some of the only good images daria has shot in about 6 months.

KL is widely regarded as a genius in the fashion business & I point you to the april bazaar where his extraordinary 22 years with chanel are honoured & praised.

kl is also an accomplished photographer & artist, not to mention his admirable & inspiring personal style.
for a fashion neophyte to show up & start insulting KL is so wrong-
you fly in the face of the entire fashion business which genuflects at his inspired & super-talented feet.

KL was in town to check on the soho chanel boutique.

he was also shooting & promoting his new lagerfeld gallery AND chanel lines.

he met up with daria at the soho store & we will see what PR or ad purposes come from that.

bottom line, chanel is daria's most prestigious solo ads to date & lets see exactly which new campaigns she lands for spring-summer & into fall.

no argument here, esmerelda, I like you & youre entitled to say he 'looks like' a moron. [despite his super hot formal dress!!]
but Im more addressing anyone who calls him a 'moron' intellectually or in any other cerebral way-
KL's career & taste speaks for itself & I will defer to the experts who long ago declared KL a near-genius of exquisite taste, talents, design, decor, aesthetics, photos, ....
he didnt get to be the ruling aristocracy of fashion for the last 40 by being a "moron. "
that insult applies more to those who dont know about or cant appreciate his accomplishments- which could & have filled many books & thousands of magazines.
no intelligent fashion writer would call KL a moron & so those that insult his extraordinary career only reflect badly on themselves.

She's been the or close to the "hottest" model ever since Natalia went into retirement, er, exclusivity contracts .

Daria seems like a great person: smart, funny, nice, modest. A real Canadian girl . But unfortunately have to admit, her look has just never floated my boat (flown my kite, boiled my brussel sprouts). She can--and usually does--look amazing in both photos and runway work (although her Coppertone Tan (tm) image recently is somewhat icky). Its just a personal aesthetic preference thing.

Ah well. I still wish her continued top success, though .
