“Is Karl going to be here?”

That was the question Daria Werbowy asked Wednesday night, when she arrived right on time at the Core Club for a special screening of Signé Chanel, a documentary by Loïc Prigent. With Lagerfeld himself busy in Paris preparing for the upcoming collections, Werbowy—not by coincidence the face of Chanel—was left alone to play hostess.

“I’m not doing any shows this season,” she said. “I’m leaving for Canada next week, but I’ll fly to Paris for Karl.” Her restlessness, as it turns out, was not without reason. “I stopped smoking recently,” she admitted.

i can't wait to see her on the runway!
but it's really good to see her stopped smoking..
i think she smoke for quite a long time
and it's not that easy to quit it

I'm really sad that she is not doing any shows this season other than Chanel. I guess this just proves that Daria has reached Supermodel status , which is great for her

In my opinion, she should just do the top shows in each city, for example:

New York: Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley, Anna Sui and Proenza Schouler

Milan: Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Gucci and Versace

Paris: Chanel, Christian Dior, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent

i'm not surprised at all she's doing any show, except from karl. that's only a confirmation of what - thanks to a friend - i predicted since august (see blog).
i'm more disappointed that she quit smoking... daria smoking was one of the most sexy things ever on earth... i hope that she will still enjoy a cigarette sometimes... too sexy!
i like her jacket in the pic, dark daria, who knows what's in her mind these times...

You know, Daria has been modeling for a long time. Shows are very stressful for the girls- I really don't blame her. I think she'll come back and do a few in future seasons. She's being quite intelligent about it, really. It will keep her in high demand. I wonder if she will show up at Toronto Fashion Week in October like Heather Marks did a couple seasons ago.
