I think that Daria can pretty much do anything she wants to in the fashion world, but I really don't think she is VS material (in a good way!). It's such cheesy modeling, and she is definitely not cheesy. I mean, look at the girls who are major models...Adriana, Alessandra...how often do you see them walking down a ruwnay? They're not even in the style.com database! The reason most models would do VS is for the exposure, and Daria isn't interested in that anyway.

Adriana used to be in the Style.com database.

And let's not knock VS too hard - I mean, Gisele Bundchen is (right now) the queen of VS, she had a pretty good high fashion career. People were really happy when she did the Dolce & Gabbana show. Just because you do VS doesn't mean you can't do high fashion and still be a good editorial model.

Gisele is the exception to the rule but I think Daria seems more concerned about her image in the industry...she seemingly just wants to be a fashion model, with no desire to be sitting on the couch at Jay Leno showing off a new bra.

I'm happy she didn't do VS because I like to think that she's still with us, in a way. She's not theirs (read greedy executives who want an army of blonde babes) because she chose it. I'm just so glad she did.

I agree. That's why I was a bit disappointed when Stam decided to do VS (even though she rocked the runway). But if you don't have a major Lancôme deal, what are you gonna do?

I was thinking..perhaps Lamcome asked her to not resign with Chanel when her contract was up because of the make-up portion of Chanel. It could be seen as a conflict of interest with both Chanel and Lancome having very large cosmetic divisions.

I am also glad that Daria did not go the way of Victoria Secret. I see Daria as more of an Isabella Rossollini type. Doing her own thing just as she likes. VS is too corporate and limiting for her.

I really like her wig at Lavin. At least, she's back in Fashion Show in few ones!

Daria is not really the kind of VS models, but I agree with Caroliine. There are a lot of great models who did VS and High Fashion, as Angela, Gisele, Heather, Stam, Doutzen & Elise (who doesn't seem really comfortable on VS runway... Daria should have been doing a better job than her). But some other are crappy as Adrianna Lima... I think she's the worst one there.

i've read elsewhere in this thread that daria would be unlikley to get her hair cut short because of her lancome contract but she really does look great here. maybe one day...
