Meisel is really just a stepping stone in the industry. He has his favorites and his muses of the moment but he's really not the type to use a model consistently for more than 1/2 years (For instance, with Sasha/Lily/Coco, he doesn't work with them nearly as much as he did at the beginning. Now, it's more of a sporadic thing). He turns the girls in the stars and leaves them be.

So I would say Daria's career was elevated with Meisel's help but after that, it's all her.

This is just my opinion, of course. I'm not really a brilliant expert on photographers

I agree with you. Meisel helps them to have more visibility because he is the principale photographer for Vogue Italia and works a little bit with the famous Vogue US. Meisel hasn't walked with Daria on the catwalk though.

On the catwalk, I'm not great with casting directors but I've heard that Meisel casts for Anna Sui? Meisel's pretty good with US Vogue, Stam pretty much only gets into that magazine if it's either Meisel/McDean shooting her.
