^I have the same impression at first Daria sights (back in 1999... in canadians magazines). But when I saw her May 2004 cover (and pix inside) from Italy Vogue... I have completely changed my mind!

she is very versatile and can just morph into whatever emotion/idea the designer is attempting to convey
she is by no means a blank palette though--she has a striking presence on her own, and that just brings so much more to every piece she wears and every ad.
