I saw the Vogue copy with the cover of Daria in Burberry today at the post office, I never really read Vogue but I wanted to get this one. It cost 10 euros which is about 14 dollars.

Is Vogue always that expensive?

how can you say that 10 euro is expensive for this amazing issue of French Vogue with Daria and all the top models inside! 10 euro is simply a gift for such magazine!
depending on the country the prices of the different Vogue editions are different...in France French Vogue is 5 euro, in Italy 5,60 or 5,90...for example where I come from Russian vogue costs 15 euro! Nippon Vogue is 15 euro in Italy...these are normal prices for glossy beautiful fashion magazines! And it is def. worth every cent!

Well, it's the first time I saw Vogue being sold in my town, it's only sold in a few bookstores.

But even though I never bought Vogue, I do watch FashionTV A LOT and I buy Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and a lot of other magazines, I have read books about designers and their history, the beginnings of big brands, the 19th and 20th century and I spend a LOT of time looking for information about fashion-related subjects, I always keep up with Fashion Week and keep up with the latest trends.
I've only been on TFS for a week, but I knew about this place for months. Before I found out about it, I spent all my time searching for information myself, but now I can all find it here. I read threads and kept up with everything that happened here for weeks before I joined.

I honestly didn't join just because I thought this would be 'fun' but because I honestly am passionate about fashion. The things I can talk about here are things that the people around me never know about, when I told about LaCroix going down, 9 out of 10 people asked me who he was. I don't know anyone here who knows there are more models than just Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen and Alessandra Ambrosio.

So please don't assume that i'm here for the wrong reasons, just because I don't read Vogue.
Which I am planning to do from now on though!

I dont really have any shame in saying I just took the French Vogue with Daria on the cover. I'm sorry, I will not spend $16 (that is minus tax) on a magazine that I will store on a shelf after a few weeks.

I've never bought Vogue either. I don't need to because I can get scans of the editorials on TFS and that's all I'm really looking at. If there's a picture I absolutely love and want to put on my wall, someone will scan an HQ of it and I can get it blown up and printed at my local copy shop.

But I have a massive collection of magazines anyway because people are always giving me their old ones from 2 - 3 years ago. I think I have three of Daria's Flare/Fashion covers.

And the new stuff looks awesome. Daria gets better and better with age.

well whenever i buy vogue paris it is like $15.95 here, which is pretty expensive for a magazine, considering u.s. vogue is less than $5. but i end up buying the issues with daria because i have to add them to my collection. and when daria is on the cover, that is an added bonus!

She's definitely worth that price and I take my comment about 'no shame' back, ( it comes off as tacky stealing) but I was desperate to have the magazine and I have no extra money at all and I wanted this issue so bad.

Sorry it´s off topic but all this talk about prices reminded me of the good old times when Vogue was 6 dollars in my country. A decade later, one month old Vogue costs 25 dollars. Bless TFS and all the scanners on the net I rather buy clothes, accesories and such that spend that amount of money on a mag, regardless of it being Vogue
