When Emmanuelle Alt was named EIC of VP I thought we'd be seeing Daria all over the magazine, but she was in it more when Carine was the editor. I'm starting to feel that Daria is really slowing down with her career by choice.

I think that icons like Daria have to go through dry spells from time to time in order stay relevant for such a long period of time. You can't be EVERYWHERE for 10 straight years. Right now Isabeli is having her moment. In a few months, I think Daria will return as a hot commodity. Its the nature of longterm supermodels.
she took 3 months break to go on a sailing trip that was the reason why we didnt see her much for the last 4-5 months. she returns to modeling in september so that means we should expect something for the month of december. im sure there is a great chance she will be in the dec issue of vogue paris, and who knows she may show up as a cover star.
that was my first thought, that's why i said i hope she went to the party also as a part of a reflection. but at the same i prefer a model going to the 'occupy w.s' party rather than attending snoby parties.
anyways, as an Italian example, here Bianca Balti is considered as a sort of 'politically concerned' model. so being rich and successful doesn't necessary prevent you from protesting.

yeah, i meant that issue. i didn't check so i forgot it was out in summer as a fall issue! aaah, that magical summer of 05... the golden age of daria!
04 and 05 were daria's glory days! i would definitely love to see her 'come back' with a ton of work...we will just have to wait and see. i really think her work is dwindling though because she wants to pursue other things.

got my copy today, it's Stunning! the glossy cover plus the golden letters are beautiful.
unfortunately no ed inside, there's only one page about her, but the cool thing is that Daria is on the cover and on the back in a Ferragamo ad

I don't think that's to scale. They shot each girl separately and just pasted them all together. You can tell because there are no shadows on the girls in the back from the girls in front. Sasha is definitely shorter than Daria.

Yeah, Daria is like 5'11". Sasha and Candice are both around 5'8"-5'9".
