I actually envy Daria's life because she's so detached from modeling. I think she has the right idea about it. So many of these girls live and breathe to work that once their careers are over they realize they haven't really seen or done much outside of their jobs. The traveling that they've done has been somewhat meaningless because it has only been for work and they rarely get to see places in depth. Just because you have a lot of stamps on your passport it doesn't mean you've actually seen anything worthwhile. Daria's smart. She knows that this is just about the money. She doesn't have a need to be famous or to be in the spotlight all the time. She knows how to enjoy life and she has used her success to further her own personal interests. Not every model needs or wants to go the Gisele route. Even though I wish she worked more, especially for magazines like Vogue and with people like Grace, I'm glad that she has built up a lot of personal experiences away from her job. When she's old and wrinkly and has grandkids she'll be able to tell them about how she had a fabulous career as a model, but she'll also have lots of wonderful stories about her travels and all her sailing trips.
