David Koma S/S 2022 London

Alexander Wang x Versace.

After Mugler everything he designed feel so done. There is nothing new or excited about it. Like what does he want to achieve with this collection?

I'm so ready for cut-outs to go the way of Sies Marjan and quietly disappear without anyone missing them.

The sparkly lavender looks and the opening number are okay but the rest...I never want to see again.

After the eyesore that is Matty Bovan, David Koma is a breath of fresh air and a total palette cleanser. I will forever be a sucker for this Versace-esque aesthetic and make no apologies for it. You can already see a bunch of young Hollywood wanting to wear this and Beyoncé is a firm fan.

While a bit repetitive, there are still some interesting cuts and silhouettes here. His use of colour is a bit all over the place though.
