Dazed & Confused Russia #0 : Sasha Pivovarova

Ugh, great, now I have to go running to every store possible here to see where it'll be sold

^ once again ... it IS a prototype it won't be sold !!!
so unless you know someone in the industry in russia or at D&C I doubt you will see it in stores ! maybe ebay ....

Yeah, I read the posts that said that, after I posted that comment

To be honest, if it's one of those issues, I think I can get my hands on one... If I do, I'll definitely scan the pags for you guys!

the fact test issues are named "0" is nothing new ... at least it existed in the 90s and 80s ... i already met test issues (art fanzines and magazines) named 0 in archives ... though i cannot explain where it's coming from ...

Me, I had never seen major magazines bring out '0' issues before this recent rash of Numeros and D&Cs did so.

When more commercial titles like Glamour launch a new edition, they aren't 'arty' enough to ever bother bringing out a '0' edition, which is why I have formed the impression that it's yet another of those rebellious poses that alternative style magazines like to use (and I usually find their rebellion most tedious). And now every new style mag seems to launch with a '0' issue, so there's not even anything alternative about it anymore.

So in my maths book, '0' issue = full of nothing.

^ ^_^

well basically the 0 issues I met (a very little number ... i must say) are basically some magazines founded by artists or curators and these were sort of manifesto for something new in art field ... i guess they were waiting for an editor-producer (in 2 words $$ and support), so most of those are not really known ... because only one issue does exist ... the number 0 ...
maybe it's also called 0 because it is a prototype (i think we need to underline this word) so basically it's not published for public ... = it's not really a #1 being printed to get sold on the market ...

What I'm surprised about is that this site reveals the prototype ... it's not that often that it happens ... but j'adorekapusta told us about this .... it's mostly a marketing thing, then ... in this case !

The cover is gorgeous, it fits right in with the winter season. Hopefully we`ll be able to get some scans!

oh I absolutely forgor about this edition, maybe somene will post some contents

Sad News: Russian Dazed & Confused will not

«Closed, never opened, the Russian version of cult British magazine Dazed & Confused, which is Alexander Lebedev, the son of Eugene and supervised Derk Sauer with the founder of the magazine Jefferson Hekom going to run first, last, and then this fall», - poignantly tells the portal to news media Industry Glossip.ru. It is felt that the decision to close the project is not only a crisis-economic reasons, but also a consequence of losing the race ambitions. It is clear that the issue was to Dazed Russian Evgeny Lebedev image project and tool integration into the European fashionable elite. But after Daria Zhukova led a British Pop, Ponte Lebedeva in the public eye has become cheaper. Now let Dazed in a zone of cultural periphery to Lebedev's just silly, as the proud brand-new bike, when all your friends have long been traveling in a jeep.
A pilot number that were released first team «hooligans», and then - using Idle Conversation, will remain for ever lie in the editorial archives
And the evil speaker told that the decision to close the project, more recently, a few employees not that that compensation is not received, so have wages for February and will not be seen. Over all not keep track - so much worry and even money to Bono will be needed.
