They are very popular over here too. I call them skinny shorts because the shops are selling them right now in London, but they are also called "cropped trousers".

i saw girl in one of those yesterday...

i have 3 pairs of (slightly baggy) demin shorts and been wearing them for like 2 years...they're my favorites...i discovered the magic of demin shorts since i was a kid, i really dont wear them to be trendy but because, demin seems to be the only material that can block all the 109 degrees heat off your legs when you're asleep/walking/sitting.
