Dermalogica

I love Dermalogica and have used it since I 1999.

I use the following products:
- Soothing Eye Makeup Remover - this is great! Removes all kind of makeup and does not sting in your eyes at all.
- Special Cleansing Gel - a cleanser for a normal skin type without heavy acne. You wash your face twice with this every morning and every night before you go to bed.
- Daily Microfoliant - best product ever! It's like a super gentle scrub, made to use on a daily basis. It's totally changed my skin, it's like a baby's butt now! (lol) Extremely addictive product  I use this every morning before the skin smoothing cream and after the Special Cleansing Gel
- Skin Smoothing Cream (for your face, is very gentle to dry and sensitive skin)

Once/twice a week I use the following products:
- Skin Prep Scrub - just the regular scrub
- Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque - this masque is amazing! I get really dry skin now and again, and this helps big time! You can use it as an overnight masque during those periods and it works miracles for me

I use dermalogica, I was actually researching other brands because I was thinking of changing brands (just to try something else) but I figured if it aint broke...!
I like the daily scrub, but I usually use it once or twice a week also, I have the active moist moisturizer, it can make my t-zone a little oily so I use it sparingly.
I just purchased the overnight serum and I am so excited to use it! I have issues with clogged pores but my skin is normal/dry so I cant just use anything cause it will strip my skin and make it worse.

I think overall this is a good brand if you have combo/norma/or dry sensitive skin. if you have oily skin I think Epicuren or YonKa works best on those skin types.

So i just used the Medicated Cleansing Gel last night for the first time and I love this product.
I was scared it would burn my cheeks cause it said "medicated" and medicated stuff usually burns to me.
Anways I put it on as directed and slept with it on, I washed it off this morning and my skin felt very smooth, I put my moisturizer on and my skin looked FABULOUS. I live this product. My face looks a little brighter and the pores seem smaller.
I will keep using it and see how it goes but it looks like it is a great product already.

hi just read everyone veiws and this brand sounds very good for your skin, i have oliy skin with spots on and under the surface do you all think there will be somthing there what will work for me?would you recommend me to go there?
Are the products really expencive? and will they sell this brand at my local town?
thanks

hi cazza where are you located? you can always go to dermalogica's website and find out if your local shop or spa sells it
www.dermalogica.com

dermalogica is not too expensive, i usually just order it online and have it shipped to my home.

cheers for that i will check it out.Just hope there is something out there for me because my skin is driving me mad!at the moment

I just bought the Anti-bac skin wash. It really dries me out, which isnt a bad thing at all because I am super SUPER acne-ish. I hope it works for me

I use the multi active toner, and I'm not sure whether you're supposed to spray it directly on your face or not. Help!
Yes, you are supposed to spray it directly on your face, and follow with your moisturizer at once to lock in the moisture it leaves on your skin...use it during the day if/ when you feel dried out, it can also be used on top of your make up and gives the perfect setting to powder:)

i have decided to start using this stuff regularly...
i have tried so many different products and imo...
this stuff is the best ...

so i just ordered a whole slew of stuff...
don't remember all of it now but i will post more about it later...

can't wait to get my stuff...:woot:

^looking forward to your review:flower:
one of the best skincare lines available right now imo

Okay.... so I have a question about Dermalogica's Ultracalming Cleanser AND Special Cleansing Gel.

Every year, my skin seems to build up a tolerance to the systems I use. First, it was proactiv that bombed on me. And then I switched to Origins which literally saved my life! I still have nothing against origins... but it's my skin! Everytime I switch products.. it works wonders.. but a year later (almost down to the month!) my skin flares up and it seems like it'll never stop.

My skin is VERY sensitive. So I need something that calms irritated skin while cleansing really well. I'm using a retinol to battle the acne (dermatologist told me that all this time I've been surpressing the deep infection.. and that is why it tries to come out once my skin gets use to the products). So, for about 5 weeks now.. my skin has exploded. I'm using Cetaphil (soap, fragrance, and dye free cleanser for irritated skin)... and it's working fairly well.

My question is... has anyone tried Dermalogica's Ultracalming Cleanser OR Special Cleansing Gel? I want to get back into a 3-step system once the retinol is done repairing my skin.

Which would be best for extremely sensitive skin? Ultracalming Cleanser or Special Cleansing Gel?

Please help... I've got so little time to decide!!

i LOVE the ultra calming cleanser...

cleansing and moisturising...feels rich without being heavy...

I bought the ultracalming cleanser and the soothing protection spray as well!:woot:

How do you like thier moisturizers? I have such a hard time finding the right moisturizer.. the only thing that doesn't piss off my skin is Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Time Complex capsules. And they're not even real moisturizers.. but because they're completely free of fragrance and irritants.. it's all I can use now:cry:

the barrier repair is this really light stuff...
it's not a cream or a gel but something like i have never seen anywhere else..

just a little bit while your skin is still damp from the spray seems to really do the trick without leaving any residue or greasy feeling...

I looked around online... it's so expensive:cry: Are the tubes large or small? I can't think of what 1 oz looks like.

one fluid ounze is about 30mls or 2 tablespoons.
they may be a bit more expensive, but i find that their products are work really well and a little bit usually goes a long way!! my 3-4oz moisturizer usually lasts me at about 4-5 months (so an ounze would last about a month or so). hope that puts things in perspective.

i don't work for the company, i just love their products!!

I use the Dermal Clay Cleanser and the Daily Microfoliant. I also like the Multivitamin Power Treatment Masque. I buy the professional sizes from eBay sellers, you get a better deal per ounce.

I never cared for their moisturizers and toners, but I don't care for most moisturizers and toners. All of the products I've used from them have quite alot of herbal ingredients that sensitive skins might have problems with--it works wonders for me though.

I bought mine on strawberrynet.. got the much bigger professional size.. the bigger size cost more ofcourse..but was a bargain compare to the standard size Barrier Repair.

I really like the masque...it's a bit weird how it turns orangy on your skin.
I regret purchasing it at my local beautician tho'.. I almost paid twice what I would have had I bought in on say hqhair.com

 The professional Enviromental Control Serum

Dermalogica's professional line is more potent than the general line (so I have been told by my beautician), unfortunately it is hard to come by other places that ebay... in fact I don't think I've seen any professional products for sale anywhere besides strawberrynet and ebay)
