Hanne, they moved up the launching dates and mintdesigns and Iliad resulted in selling at a time. and they are on the market (at least Japanese market) now.

oh shoot me now!...:woot:
the mint stuff is amazing...as i knew it would be...
will stop by the store this weekend...

*went to the store a few days after the opening and i guess all the hype worked...everything worthwhile was pretty much sold out...
also did't get my invite to the press event on time so i missed that and the b*tches must have shatched anything worth having....

went back a few days later and spotted a grey knit jersey dress which is nice...it's comfy ....
but i want some MINT!!!...:judge:...

hopefully i won't be too late this time......

thanks runner for keeping us up to date...
:flower:...

* the ads are amazing btw...they are plastered all over broadway!...
 ...

there's something very futuristic about the mint designs.
and i really like iliad's biker jacket.
i went into the menlo park store a few weeks ago and the store had been completely remodeled! now it resembles the soho flagship uniqlo much more, rather than a discount store. but the menlo store wasnt selling any of the designer pieces however.

i'm also wondering what the sale situation is going to be like at these two stores. or are they more likely to be running specials on items until they run out? or will they stick sales stickers on tags?

Thank you runner  ..unfortunately I wont be in London :(
The Mint looks great grrrrr..

the mint stuff is mostly sold out at the ny store...

one thing i find interesting..
non of the designer stuff is labeled...
it just had a regular label in it- no mention of the designers...
and it is merchandised among everything else..
not as a group or anything..
i asked some of the sales people about it and none of them had any idea what i was talking about..
even the staff has no idea about the designers working for uniqlo..
probably because they are designers that are so completely unfamiliar to the US market that there is little point in promoting it that way...
**but it didn't stop the stuff from blowing out the door!...
...

the stuff is trickling in every day and selling out quickly...
i got the mint cardigan in charcoal....
wore it today- LOVE it!!...

also got the mint coat in black...
and
adam jones blk wool knit legging and camisole
prices are most certainly higher here than in japan..
but they are much like h&m...

still cannot believe that they are not promoting the designers at all...
...

DONT SUPPORT THOSE BASTARDS ..........there stuff sucks and as soon as enough brazilians are suckered into buying there clothes they will open BILLIONS OF SHOPS.JUST LIKE H&M tum tum tummmmmmmm

My sister managed to get her hands on the mint scarf for me! I love its versatility... :)

I've found that the quality at Uniqlo is generally a lot better than H&M. The fabrics used certainly almost always seem better.

The new 2007 line up is up on the uniqlo.jp site now, and pictures of the first collection by Lutz & Patmos are up too.

I can't wait for Alexandre Plokhov, but his collection isn't on sale until the middle of May.

I thought that had been cancelled now that Cloak has closed.

Softie: Thats so weird because in London, the Designers Invitation Project has its own corner in all the stores and they have these big circular tags on them with each designers' bio.

I was in the Oxford Street store yesterday and the prices don't look H&M to me...

i was at the uniqlo in NY last week, half the store was on sale. the baptiste trench was 50% off and so were the 2 mint items that i saw. the store seems to have been cleaned out of designers invitation stuff.

mutterlein, we arent sure yet whether its been cancelled or not. too much conflicting information!

Well, they have just put Plokhov up on the site, which they presumably wouldn't if it had been cancelled. Surely Cloak not making money gives him a very good reason for doing the Uniqlo project?

No, that's excellent. I had been looking forward to it but I had read in an article about Cloak's closure that the Uniqlo collection was nixed as well.

As far as I know, the Cloak items will still be hitting the Uniqlo stores. It is made up of 8 pieces and like Paullw said, come out in May.
