I was wondering how much different designers make. I know Giorgio Armani is the richest designer with a gross of like $4.4 Billion, i think Miuccia Prada is second with a $1.3 Bil anyone know any others?

In a TV Report about Chanel (a few month ago) it said that Lagerfeld gets 1 million Euro for every Collection - so consider the 3 Collections every year and the number of years he`s with them...and that is just Chanel...no idea what he gets from Fendi and his own lines...

Whoa he is one rich man! I heard that he sold some of the items from his art collection for a high price. Like such that a painting or such sold for like 21 million dollars. BTW I thought that Karl did more collections for Chanel, 2 RTW, 2 Coutures, and The Paris-NYC collections, i also would like to know what he gets from Fendi, I know that LVMH pays well (i guess LOL they should) and also the new Lagerfeld Collection...

Is this a question of who's richest or generally about how much designers make?

It depends. Smaller designers of course who can't afford high-gloss advertising(or any adverts period!)rely mostly on orders from buyers. I would expect some of them by that alone,would only make around 5-10k each season depending on the volume and the size of the collection.

Hmm i really dont know. Its kinda odd because a 15 year old boy in my school is in the process of signing a $1.4 mil contract to work with BabyPhat, and he is only 15. He knows the creative end, so i guess he will be on the team. Im really not sure how much ugh.....i wish some of these industry pro's help us out here

Designers start out making $30k-$40k a year. Until you get experience under your belt. And then it goes up based on talent and demand.
