Hmm i really dont know. Its kinda odd because a 15 year old boy in my school is in the process of signing a $1.4 mil contract to work with BabyPhat, and he is only 15. He knows the creative end, so i guess he will be on the team. Im really not sure how much ugh.....i wish some of these industry pro's help us out here

I havent seen anything he made, but i know that he has met Kimora Lee Simmons a few times.

I would like to know how much Ghesquire for Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs for Vuitton, etc make.. but I'm not sure if that info is public... I'm guessing its not. I would love to be wrong though.

Marc Jacobs I read in the New Yorker made about 1 million a year...but that's Pre-Murakami and plus he has two of his own lines...

Wow im guessing he might make like $4 mil. Marc Jacobs is also owned by LV but Marc by Marc is all him. I know both are doing well so $4 mil sounds good to me. Thats a lot of $$$, but I thought he made more.

no idea, sorry JJ..
a designer in 'normal' circumstances (working for any old mainstream non-luxury end manufacturer) makes around 40-60.000 euros per year

A friend of mine went to work for Gucci, with some years of experience in other companies, and she gets around 5000 euros/month...

Designers for labels like Fornarina, Diesel, Miss Sixty ecc gets from 1000 (yes it's so true!) euros-2000 euros a month...

i honestly don't understand why one would care to know how much top designers make. it's unrealistic. most all of us here(who do pursue design as a career) will never see a million dollar pay check, unless they are tom ford, marc jacobs and the likes.

i'm personally interested in what starting salary are for working at different companies as a new designer. 40K a year is not a lot considering the fact that you'd have to live in an expensive city like new york or london or paris to even work as a designer. especially after taxes, you'll end up making hardly any money to get by with a 40K paycheck.
