Only for commercial modeling. Runway models have to have more unusual features in order for them to do well and be memorable.

due to her height, if it wasn't for Karl Lagerfeild, no one may have given her a second look. But once you have made it to the top for being different, everyone wants a peice of you.

Modelling is all about being in the right place at the right time. It all heavily relys on LUCK!!!

To add to what i'm saying....i personally don't think that Lily Cole or Caroline Trentini are much different from the many ordinary looking girls walking the streets, they are both just extremely lucky that they were discovered the way they have been that they are so big now.

I agree...sometimes it is all about who you meet, know, or who takes you under their wing. That can be one of the best or worst things that happen to a model. It can cause you to be on top of the world one minute and then out of demand the next. Crazy business!

In my mind, a supermodel can be any shape or size, as long as they've got that
X-factor, which i think Devon has, as i've seen her with different looks and she carries them off really well.

she may even be considered a supermodel for one of the reason's that she is small. She has an undeniable impact on whoever gazes at her, and the fact that she breaks those height boundaries of the modelling world and makes it to the top make her SUPER. She is known for being small, and yet unstoppable in the industry. That's why most of us on this site know who she is.

Do you regard Kate Moss as a supermodel even though she is not even that much taller than Devon???????

She's 5'6"! That's about two inches taller than the average woman believe it or not!
Anyway, answering your question, firstly, yes that picture is strange and secondly I think she is uniquely beautiful but I wouldn't class her as one of my favourites.

You don't see people who have such interesting features like her very often.

oh my god! she is so beatiful. i know she is eurasian but i have seen many japanese girls look very similar to her....like unbelievably similar.
Does anyone know if her look is very common in japan maybe. I know its very different to the european countries, but i somehow think she is not all that different, although love her.
