i wanted to read the Dexter books, but i decided not to.
i looove Bones and tried reading the first book and barely got the first chapter..
but i think dexter would be more interesting..

its sad about Michael's health.
hope all is well with him, he makes a great Dexter.

Okay not going to read this thread dont want to run into spoilers im only at the 7th episode... Of season 1! I started watching because i went to this conference a couple of weeks ago with the creator clyde philipps that actually just left the show. It was quit interesting hearing about the character, the story, the making of and what he thought would make a good ending.

... It's hard to imagine Showtime's Dexter getting any better, but the show had done gone and done it again. The murderous series has added Jonny Lee Miller, aka Trainspotting's Sickboy and Eli Stone, to its cast. He'll play a "mysterious man" who is tied to new cast member Julia Stiles.

Obviously Michael has fully recovered from his treatment and that's the main thing.

I love this show. It's absolutely brilliant. I'm so excited about the new season.
So far it's off to a great start.
I'm just trying to figure out when Julia Stiles will appear and if she will play a good guy or bad guy.

i love season 5 so far but i'm kind of disappointed about dexter's un-emotional reaction to rita's death. but i guess that's dexter for ya! ugh but i never liked julia stiles (she always looks mean and angry!) and her part in the show annoys me so much.

I wanted Dexter to kill the Julia Stiles character when she first came on, but she doesn't bother me so much now. I won't be sad if Dexter has to kill Quinn though.

100% agree! hopefully quinn will turn around and drop it, for deb's sake...now that they're dating (in the show.)

I kind of hope they don't kill Quinn, because it will just be a repeat of the whole Dokes situation from season 2.

However, I have to say...I'm not really feeling the chemistry between Julia Stiles and Michael C. Hall. I don't see it happening, but you never know.

^ I know what you mean about repeating the Doakes situation. But since Dexter didn't kill Doakes I'm thinking it would be ok with Dexter killing Quinn or maybe Stan Liddy.
I want Dexter to stop being so wrapped up with Lumen and get a clue that Quinn and Liddy are checking up on him.

So now that the 5th season is over, what do you think about it ?

I was disappointed by the main story with Lumen and the barrel girls. I hoped there would be something more substancial about Jonny Lee Miller character.

Finally, nothing happened with the creepy nanny.

The "Santa Muerte" plot was weird. We finally didn't found out what it was really about. I don't even remember if the two guys were shot.

And Debra is still more and more miserable each season.
Too bad, I love her and love the way she dresses too. I think her character and the actress is really underrated. I read lots of harsh words about her on the Internet but I think she's fab. Very skinny but fab nonetheless

What a dissapointing finale. This season began so well but after episode 7 or 8 it became so...I don´t know. The main characters were washed out. After last season, this was really a turn down. The last minutes of the finale.....argh so un-dexter
