I still can't forget a discussion I had with some users on this very forum almost a decade ago about how Alexis Bledel did actually look her age when she was in her late 20s. Some people here on tFS seem to carry this very strange notion that any woman over 25 with flawless or great skin "does not look their age". To them, anyone looking as good as Diane does at 40 is most likely a freak of nature.

I think it has a lot to do with where you live. In Macedonia, where the standard is quite low, very few women work out or even use sunscreen on a daily basis. So ask a Macedonian and they'd say Diane looks like she's in her early 30s

I believe you are right, but I also think it is a matter of expectations towards women and the beauty standards we impose to one another. So the point of view may be skewed one way or another, but we can rest assured that there's always going to be some kind of bias when it comes to women's looks.

It's the same re Miranda's boyfriend - that Snapchat guy. He DOES NOT look like a teenager to me and in fact looks older than 25 to me (28ish) but apparently people age much faster/differently? elsewhere.
