diane is at a red-carpet event that i don't really know anything about but has 'ball' in the title. would it kill her to don a (fabulous) dress?

i just have a problem with the neckline, it's really weird. with a boatneck it would be lovely, but still too casual for the event.

that's my opinion anyway.

Actually, I like this last look - it's very chic but I agree it's weird for a ball. Maybe since it's "The Gentlemens Ball" she's doing a little nod to menswear If the neckline was softer it would be even better

Anyone whose skin looks that fantastic closeup AND in high def has surely sold her soul to the devil.

I think the "gentlemanly" look she's trying to pull off here would have worked had she tried maybe more formal menswear. The idea is adorable actually, but was not executed well at all. It's not often that Joshua Jackson shows up in the better outfit (which is GREAT in these pictures, IMO).
