I swooned.

The dress is like a sugary confection, the color of cake icing or cotton candy. I wanted to eat it all up. Plus, the neckline was reminiscent of an abstract rose. In the sea of beiges and blacks, that pink popped THE most. You can always count on Lacroix to bring on the color.

Beautifully worded. Someone I know described it as an orchid. In fact, I know that Lacroix based that dressed on a pink orchid, for sure. I definitely don't see the 'tacky 80s prom' comparisons'. I mean Lacroix is called prom dress-material and not the boring array of pageant gowns by J. Mendel, Marchesa, Monique Lhullier, Elie Saab and all of those other boring designers? The horror.

The back looks really interesting; Wish there were better pictures of it. Lacroix always does some fantastic twist with the backs of his dresses.

Yeah well in the Aug/Sept/or Oct issue of UK Glamour there was a mini interview with her hairdresser and he explained what he did to her hair for each of her IB premiere's and Cannes. There was a pic of them together too so he wasn't lying. I don't think she does her own hair all the time like she makes out.

Right. But I was really talking about couples in general (Josh and Fergie, David and Courtney etc.), and not only Josh and Diane. I just thought it was nice to see such a normal gesture, because you often see "assistants" following the celebs doing virtually everything for them.

Next stop - SAG Awards on Saturday. I don't think she can top the Lacroix dress, but evidently, a lot of people disagree. I thought people would be swooning on this thread!

Hooray! I can't wait to see what she will wear!! But has anyone noticed how awards season is all very close knit this year?? There is usually a huge gap between each awards show.

She's never said she does her own hair all the time. She does her own makeup most of the time and occasionally does her hair herself.
