oh wow, this is a first total fail of Diane in my books in AGES. the dress looks kinda cheap - i have a thing (or should i say full-on hate) for the stringy things on dresses that keep them in place. don't like it at all, despite of the fact it fits her perfectly.

With the kickoff of the 65th Cannes Film Festival, the members of the illustrious jury were in the house for the Feature Film Jury Photocall today (May 16).
Ewan McGregor looked distinguished in his dark suit/white shirt/printed tie getup as he posed for the cameras at the Palais des Festivals. Additionally, “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” babe Diane Kruger had the crowd’s attention thanks to her Versus side-laced maroon dress teamed teamed with black Jimmy Choo ‘Katima’ strappy sandals.

exactly. I'm kind of glad she went for something a little unexpected like a Versus dress
I was fully expecting something Jason Wu, but I like that she shakes things up a bit
not to say that I like the dress, but I do appreciate that it's different for her
