Diane Kruger

When is her film premiering in France? I can't wait to see what she wears there.
Her USA appearances have been fine, the knitted gown looks like it was stitched onto her, no wonder it's an Alaia. Wonder what Karl thinks...

^ Sorry it's already opened in France. When I was in Paris I went to Versailles on a tour my tour guide told me she had seen the film and that it was really interesting.

awesome outfit :woot:

and she looks even stunning in sweatpants. how does she manage this?!

 She's wearing Roots sweatpants. Must have bought them when she was in Canada visiting Josh.

I would never wear those out of the house but I will admit she doesn't look half bad in them.

Haha, how does she look stunning? If anything she managed to look half-decent and not totally frumpy while wearing sweatpants. However, wearing sweatpants outside will never not be tacky, not sorry to say.

I remember reading an interview where she was asked about wearing sweatpants on her daily outfit choices matter and she laughed and said "No. I´m not that American yet." Well, I guess she is now.

She's wearing flats with her sweatpants :( She doesn't look stunning here, but it's nice to see her in an outfit I could afford lol. :D

Diane Kruger To Play Abraham Lincoln's Step-Mother In Terrence Malick-Produced 'Green Blade Rising'

Terrence Malick doesn't stop. With the director is currently at work on four different movies in various stages of production -- "To The Wonder," "The Voyage of Time," "Knight of Cups" and the movie formerly known as "Lawless" -- he's also throwing his enigmatic weight around as a producer. Last month it surfaced that he was behind "Red Wing," which is searching for a writer, and would serve as the directorial debut of Will Wallace, his stepson, who has appeared in numerous Malick-related projects including "The Thin Red Line," "The New World" and "Undertow." Well, another Malick venture is gearing up, and it will roll this fall. And as usual, it's a complete ****ing mystery, though there are some details.

Orlando movie critic Roger Moore hit up Comic-Con over the weekend and got a chance to chat with Diane Kruger, who was on hand to promote next spring's "The Host," when she dropped a minor Malick bombshell, which the reporter revealed on his blog Movie Nation. She'll be starring in "Green Blade Rising" (a parody title if we ever heard one), which the camera-shy director will produce. And what's it about? "I play his stepmother, the woman who enticed him to read and put him on the journey to becoming a great man, a great thinker and president. It's a very American role, something very different for me. I have been spending all summer trying to tackle a rural Kentucky accent from the 19th century, so that will be a huge challenge," she said.

Of course, she's referring to Sarah Bush Lincoln, Abe's Dad's second wife, who came into the future President's life when he was ten; he grew very close to her and always referred to her as his mother. So is this an unofficial prequel to Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln"? At any rate, it's a part of Lincoln's life we don't see or read about very often, so it will be interesting to see the shape this takes (and who has written the script and will direct). As usual, no other details, but with a start date looming, hopefully we'll know more soon.

I really like the last look, but the sweatpants look is just terrible for words!

haha^

I think Diane is gorgeous in sweatpants, especially the natural non make-up-look that goes with it:heart:

I'm such a hypocrite . I bash anyone wearing sweatpants and yet, I see Diane in them and don't care cause she still looks great.

 Yep, found it.

To German Glamour
G: What do you wear when nobody sees you
D: By no means sweat pants! I’m not American enough for that yet. Most of the times Jeans, T-Shirt, flats and no makeup. But I like to dress up especially when I go out with my boyfriend.

This is the one I remember, not sure of the magazine, but if you google it its everywhere:
I still think it’s important to put on some make-up and a nice dress for my boyfriend. I’m not one of those girls who stops working and just throws on sweat pants

:innocent:

Diane wearing sweatpants is making me feel so conflicted about whether or not I hate sweatpants, lol.

^ Does she wear Uggs? I really used to hate them but someone gave me a pair and I've found myself wearing them out even though I swore I would never... Maybe it's the same for Diane and sweatpants? They never struck me as an all-american item of clothing anyway. It's more how you wear them and how often you wear them I guess.

^yeah, she also wears Uggs. But the pics I´ve seen were from set so I guess it doesn´t count?
sweats and Uggs on the street are both no-no in my book.

so me and my boyfriend went to go see Farewell My Queen last night and it was very good. just a warning tho, for those expecting to see a diane kruger vehicle, she isn't the star of the film like she is billed to be. the star with the most screen time is lea, diane doesn't even show up until like 20 minutes into it. that being said, her french was outstanding and her performance was really superb. never having seen her in a dramatic role such as this it really showed me her range and of course, she looks simply stunning in every single scene. i would really recommend it to anyone with a vague interest in the french revolution or marie antoinette because it tells a story not everyone is very eager to tell about her. ok, rambling over. i just figured a few of you wanted to hear about the movie :)
