I like the first picture composition wise, but I don't like the model's expression at all - the smile looks forced and there is something off about her eyes. I can live with it being an ad even though we don't get a good look at the clothes, but usually in a case like this the photographer / creative director at least tries to make sure that the shoes (or other accessory) is displayed well.

I am not a fan of the second ad, but it really is a personal taste thing - not a fan of the slouchy pose and I don't like the dress, although I do like the tights and boots. Anyhoo, if I put my personal preferences to the side, this is an effective ad.
