Dilara Findikoglu F/W 2025.26 London

Something about the mix of shells, python and lace makes me love this 🩷 could do without the hair though.

At least now she is not gunning for the job at McQueen.
Or perhaps she finally realized that in order to get the job at McQueen she'd need actual wearable, saleable proposals lmao

The shell pieces are dreamy! It's probably her best collection to date. I would've switched out some of the micro minis and hoochie skirts for longer pencil/bias skirts but otherwise the introduction of denim and converse is interesting (for her).

Looks like a pretty solid collection to me, more commercial but more cohesive too. I don't really see Theyskens, love him but he did not invent goth or corsets. He also creates with romanticism in mind and there's always something distant about him and the women he designs for, not very realistic (just look at his models). I don't think Dilara is a romantic, her work gravitates (sometimes with success or sometimes with no success at all) towards subversion, and she's more connected to women for obvious reasons because her models never lack confidence or look awkward inside the clothes.

The pants are my favorite part, especially the pair in the second look 🖤 . Pretty good to see her or any independent designer getting stronger in their own label, hope it stays that way and that she rejects any juicy offer to go corporate.

It's very nice and definitely looks well made. But you can tell none of it came from her. It's a mishmash of literal references from McQueen and JPG.

Regardless, this is a breath of fresh air for NYFW.

I wish we could’ve seen she could do in the McQueen job. It would certainly be more inspired than whatever is happening there now. Anyway, this is great.

I must say, her development is nothing like what I expected, but it's such a pleasant surprise! The collection is not as obviously referential as the previous one, and it definitely feels full of passion. There's also a lot of hidden beauty in the looks. I really hope this potential won't get lost.
