I like the outer packaging, but what do the containers for the products themselves look like? Can you please take pics? I am a sucker. Thanks.

Source of these clinical trials? Because I find that hard to believe. Not to say that there couldnt be something effective at a drug store (I have no idea;I dont shop in them) but I have maintained immaculate skin from using only products purchased at dept. stores. I tried something cheap once on my face and had a horrible reaction. The same surely could be said for something expensive, but generally products sold at drugstores are packed full of drying agents and parabens and really small percentages of anything good for your skin. In the long run though the purpose of applying products topically is to maintain youth, and none of these products (if they're $5 or $500) will eliminate the inevitable day fine lines and wrinkles appear. You can only slow down aging by shielding yourself from the sun, apply sunscreen more than once a day (and it needs to be high in zinc and titanium oxide) and stay hydrated. And if you really believed that trial nonsense, wouldnt you save your money instead of using Creme de La Mer? That's vaseline and mineral oil.All cosmetics and fragrance are packaging/marketing. Clinical trials show the stuff that you can buy at the local Drug Store is more effective at helping your skin that anything sold in Barneys, Neimans and Saks.

Uh I'll PM you my myspace link if you really want to see me, but I wont post a photo on a forum. It's a long story I wont get into but I have had my photos stolen and been stalked, etc. Not implying you'd do so but the experience is not so lovely. And thank you for citing who you heard that from. I dont disagree with that, but I do think certain skincare brands sold at a dept. store have much better ingredients and textures than anything available at a drug store and so, like you, I can afford them and use them.EatCake,
Mind posting a picture of your face?
Only marginally. I use Shu Uemura Purifying Oil as a cleanser then Creme De La Mer as my moisturizer. I dont need anything else.My skin needs very little upkeep, so it is just an excuse to spend $.
Are you to say that you are not affected by packaging and marketing?
The funny thing is I loathe Dior Homme rtw...I bought it during the first few collections and then after that it became laughable.

I used to be affected but not anymore, I look beyond packaging and marketing. Im not a victim.
Dior Homme RTW is another story, it sucks so bad.
Um, Creme de La Mer has like the ugliest packaging available, its 80s and out of date. The Marketing is also non-existant, unlike you, I dont buy it for the prestige, I dont have self esteem issues.
