Dior Men Pre-Fall 2022 London

Also heard some murmurs that his days at Dior are numbered

I think because he has a standard 3 years contract so next year will be his last year. They'll be negotiate whether or not to renew it. Which I'm sure they will, consider his massive success comparing to KVA.

There is also rumor that he will take over the women departments since Maria contract also end next year.

You’re all being way too kind. Looks like the local Newark outlet mall put on a juniors fashion show with whatever scraps they had.

Didn't think it was possible for him to spiral further into generic mediocrity. Good for him for proving me wrong.

And someone credible alluded to me that he will be apart of the musical chairs from Virgil’s absence. Did not say for sure where he will end up but did not sound like he will be at Dior for long.

He just signed a Fendi contract for at least three years though? LVMH is giving him a chance at Fendi to prove he can succeed in womenswear before allegedly taking over Dior, but so far his Fendi is a massive flop, both commercially and critically. Look at how desperate he is to make it a "success" - collaborations with Versace and Kim Kardashian (!) just to get that Insta hype and quick $$$. It may have worked in terms of social media metrics, but at what cost? The brand prestige is gone. LVMH had a chance to really build upon the Fendi prestige that Karl had established and Sylvia was on the right path, but they ruined the opportunity because of Jones. The only reason KJ got to designing Fendi was because he threw a b*tch fit over wanting to do Dior womenswear, and LVMH freaked out that he would leave (Versace was calling!), so they offered him Fendi.

Seriously thought it amazes me how fast someone can ruin a brand legacy within a few collections. Jones has single handedly cheapened the brand within one year of his arrival. And it is exactly the same at Dior Men. Dior Homme used to be really something luxe and prestige. It had such a French/Parisian allure. Now it's all logo's, hypebeasts, and vacuous celebrity affiliations and CoLLaBz. I'm sorry but there is no coming back from collaborating with Travis Scott. So trashy, so vulgar, so démodé.

I wonder how fast they'll get this out so they don't have the Travis Scott stuff lingering in stores

not surprised about that rumor. who buys that stuff anyway? who wants to look like Paul Smith 4 seasons ago?!?

Can he please just stop writing press releases that make it seem like the collection is/means SOMETHING, while it's purely NOTHING?
This is so old fashioned, and will be remembered as Celine by that girl Omazic, or Givenchy by Julien MacDonald horror years
