i envy you all/have this hate love relationship all of the vintage stores in paris that i go to are prices that are way hiked up then its actual value.

i am going to NYC this summer can anyone recommend some good vintage/designer shop

i think a good bet for anyone looking for dirt cheap designer stuff is to check ebay for "forgotten" designers ie richard tyler, norma kamali (especially her platform shoes) etc.

one time my uncle was at TJ Maxx(or Marshalls, can't remember) and he saw this dress that had been marked down significantly. The MSRP was around $800 and the TJ price was around $400, and then it had been marked down on sale so much that it eventually was $10. My uncle decided to buy it for me because he thought it must be some big brand to cost that much. Turns out it was M Missoni, and that's how I got that designer dress in my closet.
