Do you love FASHION but HATE shopping?

Yeah...and I know why I bought those useless things.....it's coz I was sobbing over not being able to find what I was looking for and just trying to buy SOMETHING so that the trip was not a complete waste. Ah well...maybe I'll one day wear all my impulsive purchases just to prove that they weren't money wasted.....or maybe not.....

yes !
it's a chronic problem of mine
i have to validate the fact i've gone shopping by buying smthn. whtevr it is ! :ninja:

thanks for this topic, susie b!
I think I like fashion more than shopping... because 'fashion' is more abstract and the fantasy is there. Sometimes I really hate shopping, when nothing is fitting right and I can't find what I need. But when I'm just browsing and I find that one amazing thing hidden away, and I take it home and it goes with everything I have, then it becomes a fun game. But I agree - the clothes I imagine for myself are so much more beautiful and fun than what I usually find, I wish I could sew!

Yeah....I often get frustrated to the point of wanting to learn how to make clothes properly. After all, I complain about a lack of this and a lack of that in shops, so I guess I should my money where my mouth is! Alas...I blame my sheer laziness. :D
I also have to prep myself before each shopping trip. Check that I have the right mindframe for TK Maxx or Topshop on a Saturday!

Ahh, I am also lazy. And I don't think I got the 'sewing gene' - almost all of my female relatives and ancestors are/were amazing seamstresses. My greatgrandmother would go into the best stores to get ideas, and then go home and make faultless copies for herself! (that is truely windowshopping at its best!) I've inherited her love of beautiful things, but not her ability to sew. But I'm thinking of starting to 'customize' more of my thrift store finds, as a way to start small.
