Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2011 : Alessandra, Isabeli, Izabel & Maryna by Steven Klein

Does anyone else find the poses+positioning of the fullpage ad very awkward and unnatural?
I think the overall effect would look better in print, though.

^it could easily just result of the gloss paper plus the scan. I find that almost always, most adverts look much different and/or more effective in print.

im still not completely sold on Izabel
to me. Ale, Maryna, and Isabeli are making this
campaign work. I also wish water was coming or at least dripping out
Maryna's bucket. Now that i see it together I agree with agee in the since
that Maryna does look like the servant to them. Isabeli's pose is just perfect for this

I like Maryna, but honestly she's kinda killing the Italian vibe. It's like a game of "which one of these is not like the others" in this shot.

Woah, Isabeli and Maryna look hooooot! The cinematic feel of this is incredible. Best Dolce & Gabbana campaign in a while.

Agreed!

I love it and I can't wait to see it in print.

It's ok but i'm quite sick of the 'italian housewife' concept that D&G keep repeating in their campaigns. It was cool at first but they'll have to come up with something different for the future.

Yep.

Isabeli looks great. Maryna should be in Izabel's place, IMO. I have no idea what is going on with Alessandra and her posing and I wisj Izabel's legs were closed.

Isabeli is pouring water on Ale's leg. So i guess that's the kind of pose you do when that is happening :shifty:

The full shot is indeed super sexy. I'm more than thrilled to finally see Isabeli and Maryna. Need to see the full set but for the moment, Stefano and Domenico delivered a very relevant campaign that does justice to the collection.

I suspect that the images were edited together. Although Izabel's image is getting a lot of hate, myself included, by itself it is a very good image, other than whatever funkiness in the lighting or whatever in her chest area. I think that Ale and Isabeli's images work together and represent what I think the vibe of the campaign should be, and who knows, they may have even been taken at the same time. Maryna's image is OK as a solo photo but in a third page of an editorial kinda way, and where in the heck is the water?

Isabeli just popped up in my eyes, she stole this shot.

I wish to see it in colors, I'm sure it would look much better.

More I see and more I don't like it. Izabel face and legs are unnatural, it seems that someone has punched her. Only Maryna and Isabeli works in this pics, I don't understand the presence of Alessandra, she is totally useless here.

^really? I really think that Isabeli and Ale are giving us the entire package. Izabel looks too strained and Maryna is quite normal and almost boring (i think it has to do with the fact that NO water is coming out of her bucket lol)

The photos are beautiful, but it's not one of my favorite Dolce & Gabbana campaigns at all.

The black & white killed all the potential of the collection.

It's a very white collection and needs creative styling and gold/colored accessories to highlight it's beauty (IMO).

^ I agree, black and white was not a good choice for this campaign. I think my other problem is that this was shot in a studio so the unnaturalness of lighting and the reflections on the wall take away the setting they were trying to create
