I guess she did the V-Mag nude ed to further her career? I don't understand the logic behind the spread especially since she is such a mainstream model, that is where the major money is now.

I agree that it might be a financial move. Or maybe it's an artistic thing; some nudity is fun and exciting, and whether or not it's tasteful is up to the artist/model in question.

I'm into it. Doesn't change my view of her.

I don't see what the big deal is. Doutzen has done lots of nudity in the past. Plus her body is bangin .

Lots of models like to do nude shots, but how often do you see the ones that decide to go full frontal? Not very many, I'm guessing. Occasionally, you'll get a topless shot or a side-boob or some see-thru pics of these ladies, but not full frontal and definitely not from a supermodel. Usually, that kinda photography is reserved for the "adult" crowd.

But Doutzen has stepped up to the plate and showed that she is completely fearless about her craft and isn't going to take any crap from her peers or her VS contract. I think Doutzen has set the bar to a higher level (even more so than Lara Stone) and we should give her applause for it.

What I like about these shots are they aren't edgy nudes, they are just unabashed beauty, very sensual and free.

I think the cigarette thing suits the image of a pinup girl so I think it's right and belongs in the ed..

I've seen one other pic in an Italian Vogue ed by Patrick Demarchelier. I can't think of more.
