La Bellabello - since it says 'ball' on the invitation and there are lots of (well known) performers, I'd go for a nice cocktail dress, maybe a skirt and a fancy top or even a long dress. If you are more a pants kind of girl, go for dress pants with a blouse or a nice and elegant top. hope that helps a bit

Honestly, EVERYBODY goes to events in black... it's kinda boring but it works, I guess.
