On one hand he is such a recognizable designer I'd much prefer for the brand to be closed. On the other, it is an entity on if own now so the succession plan has to be carefully planned. I hope it will be someone from the team, trained and understanding the brand's DNA and adding their own sensitivity / aesthetic. We simply cannot afford Dries' legacy to be dragged or humiliated like Balenciaga's or others...

Dries’s is such a unique and specific voice, I cannot imagine anyone being able to do him justice. It’s easier to find someone for Gucci or Balenciaga than it is to find a replacement for Dries.

Dries is such a unique voice, and his namesake is so associated with him as an an individual that I even wonder if it's relevant to keep the brand open. I understand he didn't want to close his brand to keep supporting his collaborators but I'm a bit afraid for its future.

I was going to ask but I suppose they will wait Wednesday to make an announcement. June was supposedly his last show and his last bow.
So who will take the bow ?
