Dries used to be my favourite … he’s been on a steady decline down. I hate it.

What's the point of that blurry photo? This is not an editorial, i would like to see the details of the clothes please.

He put so much efforts in the presentation but the truth is these clothes look like leftovers from Gucci and Valentino.

Here are the actual clothes. I have no idea what he was thinking with this lookbook, but the collection is much more digestable without the blurred out imagery.

Also, I love Dries and always will, but when I stopped in Nordstroms flagship store on 57th in New York, I was shocked to see how sad Dries’s offering was. Granted, these items were most likely addtions from his commercial line, though the quality and overall vibe was sad, that is the only word that comes to mind. My only thought on this decline is that it has something to do with the new owners. Though his menswear offering was exceptional.

Truthfully, haven’t really loved a Dries collection for quite some time now. His best work is behind him, and really he started to lose it in the mid-2010’s…it’s been very frou frou and cheapy ever since. And yes @Fulton St Critique his collections do look very sad and cheap in person recently. Lots of bad novelty fabrics. Not much luxury appeal.

Thanks @Fulton St Critique for sharing the lookbook, it does look a bit less dismal showcased like that but I still only love a couple outerwear pieces.

Dries always made gorgeous, wearable clothes, getting better and better while the other Belgians seemed to fade. To me his recent work feels slightly forced, it wants to be FASHION when his strength was always beautiful, timeless clothes.

Since his SS'21 collection and onwards, the effort put into each collection has downright plummeted to nonexistent. All his recent stuff is making me wish we still had Sies Marjan.

^^^ Puig still owns the brand. They have a new president-- the person that ruined Jil is now ruining Dries: Another one of these middle-age geezer who’s desperate to be down with the kidz.

There’s no Dries here. It’s a depressing sign when a once magnificent label that’s always championed the individuality of a sensual gentleman is reduced to shapeless potato sacks, trying to keep up with unisex childrenswear and clownwear of the lessers. This imagery of mousey, homeschooled gender-neutral children playing dress-up in oversized rags that’s typical of students' desktop publishing 10 years ago, just adds to the insulting self-sabotage.

What a world away from this gorgeous, romantic and masculine ideal that’s the best of Dries:
