The show was "inspired" by "The Emperor's New Clothes." I think they hit it on the head, because whoever buys this crap is definetly the Emperor...

Of course like everyone else I don't have much good feeling toward this collection. But on the other hand, if someone is really good at styling, he can certainly single out some pieces which are wearable and could be nice-looking. Isn't the so-called New York Fashion and its fashion week all about wearability and being nice-looking?

I found this picture from NYT's website. After seeing this picture, we can understand why New York has designers like these Duckie Brown guys. Look at those guys in those colorful suits, they are simply comical!

" Some of the men attending Fashion Week had more interest in what they wore than the women the shows were mostly for. While the women took shelter in understatement, sharp dressers appeared in both classic and uncharted combinations. Several dandies wore a different ensemble every day. "

This is some terribly frightening pastiche of Hilfiger, DSquared, and what someone who has never seen a Dirk Schonberger collection might imagine Dirk Schonberger clothes looked like.

Or something.

My eyes hurt.
