no ,actually the only model that gets attention is Doutzen , but it took quite a while for lara to get some love from the press.im suprised that cato got the model award from the marie claire

Lisanne is confirmed, Patricia has apparantly already shot something with Meisel some time ago so that could be Balenciaga. Mirte is speculation I believe, but I wouldn't be suprised....

I didn't understand that either. I also said it in her thread.
Doutzen, Lara and Kim already won the award but I think outside of them Nimue deserves the award or maybe Ymre.

I like Mirte and Patricia the most from the new Dutchies! Alltime fave stays Bette.
And the rumour about the Dutch trio for Balenciaga sounds amazing !

Could somebody maybe help me? I am working on a project about Dutch Fashion Industry, and need to know who were the first Dutch Models getting international recognition. Also important, has there ever been a time peroid when there was a "lack" of Dutch Models?

The first was Wilhelmina! born Wilhelmina Behmenburg in Culemborg,she was very successful in 50s and 60s.She opened the famous Wilhelmina modeling agency in 1967.Alas she died from lung cancer only aged 40,in 1980. (That's why I hate to see pretty young models like Abbey and Irina smoking!!!)
I'd say there was a lack of Dutch models in the 70s, but do some research.
